They say that most kids decide by the third grade whether or not they will have a career and finish school. KAPOW – Kids & the Power of Work – links Miami companies with local schools in order to excite them about their future work life and show them that what they learn in school is relevant and important. This year, SB Architects’ Miami office partnered with three 3rd-grade classes at Silvania Heights Elementary.
Each month, staff members visited with the classes and offered lessons about leadership, communications and work habits. To cap off the program, SB invited 56 school children to its downtown Coral Gables office for a fun field trip. The students toured the office, visited with staff and built models out of recycled materials.
