This multiple award-winning project successfully integrates new architecture with mature landscape on a difficult, sloping site. The enclave of homes sits on a heavily wooded infill site on the San Francisco Peninsula. Originally a single estate, the site has been divided into three roughly equal parts. The first parcel houses the original estate home, the cluster of 32 homes occupies the second parcel, and the third is set aside as deeded open space. The residences are an equal mixture of duplexes and zero lot line homes. The structures are designed in a craftsman style, perfectly suited to the sloping site, which is blessed with a unique environment created through the preservation of more than 40 mature trees. The homes are sited to maximize views of the San Francisco Bay.
